Question: Does the church need a new creed?
    Answer: No

Question: Some churches are preparing for the second millennium. Has the church said anything about the year 2000
    Answer: No

    B) To me the creed helps me understand my faith by showing me that some people may believe in different things than I do but some people believe in the same things I do and everyone has their different beliefs.

    C) I believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross for us to save us from our sins and accepts everyone for who they are.

  4. If God created everything, where did evil come from? - This question reminds me of a movie I recently watched, in the movie a boy asks an older women how is it that you believe in God while chaos and catastrophe due to evil are taking place? She replied with : "God created everything, it is only human to decide what of these is evil and what is not." I believe this explains the origin of evil.

If God is almighty, does it really matter what I do?- Yes, it does. You are judged upon the actions you partake in. Not upon the fact that the person judging you is of higher standing.

The Creed to me means that we verify what we believe in. It's like a warning to those coming In on the religion. If they were to only know the people of the religion but really had no idea what we do, we could just give them the creed and they would have a great idea after.

Jesus died because he knew what his choices were and he knew which choice was right. Whether or not.it was for us, he knew that living a good life means you live it to your standards. So he ad the choice that was right to him.

The Pope and Bishop are considered successors of the apostles
g)We say the Creed while we are in church, this takes place before we go up to receive communion, the whole church participates.
h)I believe in what I am saying and I believe what I am saying has meaning. I think this because i have almost memorized the whole Creed and if it was not important to me I more than likely would not almost know the entire proclamation. I believe IN a God and I want to actively be involved with that faith and not just follow the actions of the Church.
